Three Minute Philosophy

Three Minute Philosophy is awesome, and if you are into philosophy as a subject and have not seen any of this series of YouTube Videos I highly recommend you check out my Three Minute Philosophy Review.

In it I list all of the Three Minute Philosophy videos and review each of them, offering a brief discussion of each of the videos. As a student of Philosophy, I feel I know at least a little about it and while I try to avoid going too in-depth it can be good to get further information from someone in the field.

Interestingly, I read that the author of these videos had received some problems as a result of them from people in Philosophy, which is absolutely pathetic. The videos are great and very popular. In truth, he probably has had more sway over the world than many of his lecturers as a result of them.

YouTube Editors

While I have been largely neglecting my YouTube based site, after using a whole series of YouTube editors I thought it would be good to write an article and so have sparked a renewed interest in the site. The interesting thing about YouTube study as a site is that it has received regular traffic despite a lack of content, reflecting that there is a need for a site such as it. The basic concept behind the site was to create a TV Guide for YouTube, functioning in a very similar manner. However, shortly after creating the site I decided that the idea was a little silly and stopped contributing content. Now the site has turned around and grown quite dramatically.

As a result of this I have decided to write a few new articles, which I think are actually very good examples of articles and quite awesome content. The first of these is the Free YouTube Video Editors article that lists a great many free video editors that can be used for YouTube. I really think it is the best content of its kind on the Internet and as a result I hope it grows dramatically. The second of these is an article about Infinity Mirrors on YouTube, which give a fake affect of depths.

More on The Cleverbot Visitor Swarm

One of the really strange things about writing online lately has been the plethora of visitors driven to my site in search of Cleverbot related content. It seems like a really odd trend to be popular, but I suppose it is driven by the boom in iPhone and Android apps, Cleverbot being a particularly cheap one. As a result of this, almost half my daily visitors are to less than 1% of my overall content.

The amazing thing is that this is nothing compared to the overall number of people searching for Cleverbot content, reaching into the 500,000 searches per month area which is just staggering. Unfortunately, though, one of my articles was ranked down quite dramatically by Google as a result of scrapers essentially 'stealing' my content. While the scrapers linked back, the excess of links basically became listed as 'junk links' and rendered the content suspicious which is a shame as it was one of my best performing articles.

QWhatDo Complete

It has been a long while since I updated this blog, primarily because I have been very busy with my business and with designing my new site: QWhatDo. The idea behind QWhatDo is that people can join up, create information on their local area such as 'shoe shopping in New York'.

The benefits for authors are:

1. Backlinks
2. Adsense Revenue sharing

The site also includes a really easy search option for people to search the site. I have a lot more to do yet on the overall design of the site, as well as promoting it, but the core functionality is ready.
